    Virginia
    Washington D.C
    Military bases

    In addition items attached to the windshield are illegal in:

    Minnesota
    California
    New York

    For commercial use and in vehicles over 10,000 pounds, radar detectors are illegal in the states of:

    Illinois
    New York
    New Jersey
